tiffanymink![]() | Thu, Jul 29 2010, 11:20 AM We rolled back around to Ohio for our second date here, which is now home of the best circle pit I've seen. For starters, Whitechapel went out on stage to play with Andrew WK who closed the show. The main stage was in one of the two amphitheaters so we had loads of room, right? Well the circle pit for "Party Hard" expanded to the top tiers of the amp. It was incredible. Just...watch the video. Amazing. There were some great acoustic sets today. The Summer Set played a few songs at Kia today to a very, very large and excited crowd. Altec has been doing some great acoustics as well and today had Dan of Alkaline Trio doing songs from his side project The Emergency Room. Really solid stuff. And we were all stoked for a Lawrence Arms cover! The first band I caught today was only on today and they were called Passafire. If you can imagine reggae with Rage Against The Machine-esque riffs, that would be them. I finally got to see Miss Sarah Saturday's project called Gardening Not Architecture. Check her out. If you like chip tunes, the Postal Service or anything awesome like that, you'll love this girl. I ended with my buddies Pierce The Veil. I could shoot them for ages. Such an amazing show. I dare you to find someone on this tour who moves around as much as they do. Tomorrow we hit Milwaukee (insert Wayne's World joke here). The weather is supposed to be incredible and the humidity low. Could this be the start of the home stretch!? E-mail me at ThePitReporter@gmail.com! See you in the pit. |
