tiffanymink![]() | Tue, Jul 27 2010, 4:30 PM It was so strange today. It turned out exactly how it did last year! Very humid throughout the day then a crazy storm hit around 6:30, 7pm and a few sets had to get moved inside the amphitheater. Bring Me The Horizon and Four Year Strong closed out the show and the show went to 9:45. The changes that happened in Atlanta were for the day, only! Everything will be back to normal for Cincy. Unfortunately due to the weather, that meant that the other stages got cut. Every Time I Die and Attack Attack didn't get to perform. Major apologies to all the fans and especially to the bands who were wanting to see you as much as you wanted to see them. Kevin tried to make everything work but there was so much lightning around us, it was unsafe to keep any gear up and running on those stages. On the bright side, I caught up with some of Mayday Parade's crew about a dealio they have with Warped Eco. If you go by the Mayday Parade booth, you can get bags to fill up with recyclables. In return, you get a free, autographed Mayday poster! It's incredibly easy to fill up those bags with bottle and cans (trust me), and now you can get some rad stuff in return, on top of that warm, fuzzy feeling. I think a few more bands are going to take part in this as well, so keep an eye out! Today was rad because GBH joined us! They aren't on the rest of the tour, but it was awesome to have the guys out for the day, as well as Outernational. Do you remember them from last summer? I also caught Mayday Parade's set which was mind blowing. I had no idea their crowds have been that insane! I think they outgrew that Ernie Ball stage before the tour even started. Tomorrow is a day off and clean-up day for our bands (video will come at you on that, too) in Nashville. I'm telling you, Warped is always looking at ways to help the environment! After that, we'll be back in action in Cincinnati. E-mail me at ThePitReporter@gmail.com! See you in the pit. |
