So many questions keep floating in. Here's what we are getting asked the most!

Party with ME before the Warped movie!

Posted at Sep 15, 2009 6:50 PM by tiffanymink
This is the OFFICIAL Pit Reporter Minkus' Warped Tour Pre-Premiere party for the Warped Tour 15th Anniversary theatrical event coming out on Sept 17th! Remember, this is a one night only showing- and will also be my movie debut so come party and watch the movie with me! To make my party something really cool, I'm going to be having a concert before the movie premieres at 8pm. It's been a while since I've booked in my home town so it's pretty exciting for me. There will be a few bands at the show, all with a different sound- just like Warped! After the show, we will all head over to the movie theater together and rock out to the movie. Want more info on the movie?

Warped Tour 15th Anniversary Celebration Review

Posted at Sep 9, 2009 1:10 PM by tiffanymink
I was lucky enough to come back to California to celebrate Warped Tour's 15th birthday with everyone! It was great seeing all these faces from tour back out, continuing to support Warped, Kevin and check out this amazing show.

Best Of Warped playlist on MySpace.com

Posted at Sep 3, 2009 1:35 PM by tiffanymink
MySpace asked me to put together a playlist of the best of Warped Tour. Some of these artists I've listen to for years and some I just discovered while being on tour.

DAY 46- CARSON

Posted at Aug 25, 2009 5:47 PM by tiffanymink
Today I did Warped as a fan. I've been very objective all summer covered all of the bands on the tour whether it be video or photo (aside from the few bands who may have only been on for a day or two). I wanted to go out seeing who I was excited to see and my new favorite bands that I've discovered while being out here. I guess you could say these are my favorite bands on tour. The others who would be added are The Ataris and Anti-Flag, but they dropped off a while ago. So who made the list?

DAY 45- SAN DIEGO

Posted at Aug 23, 2009 12:26 AM by tiffanymink
Things are starting to get bitter sweet. For the last show tomorrow, everyone packs up early and heads out since so many of them live in California. Thus all of the goodbyes started today. The superlatives also got tallied and I was voted Most Warped Spirited along with Steve Guttbinder who blogs for Kia out here. It's all staffers and production. Tatiana from TAT was the girl Tour Crush. Amie who works at Music For Relief and Arturo from CBGB's got Best Tattoos. Gallows got voted Best Band- as well as Most Likely To Get Arrested. It's just like punk rock high school...does that make me like, head cheerleader?!

DAY 44- SACRAMENTO

Posted at Aug 22, 2009 8:31 PM by tiffanymink
Another hot one in California as we are wrapping things up. Thing at Warped are getting down to the wire, getting sad but also getting crazy. There are more and more guest appearances every day now. Nat of 3OH!3 and John O of The Maine traded spots for the first song of both sets. You would not believe how similar to one another they can sound. It was a little scary. Tatiana of TAT also joined TV/TV on stage. TV/TV's drummer also played with The Millionaires. I've heard that it's going to be all about collaborations these last few days of Warped, so I'm excited to see who is going to end up where.

DAY 43- MOUNTAIN VIEW

Posted at Aug 21, 2009 2:18 PM by tiffanymink
Talk about a change of weather. 103 in Fresno to a breezy 70 degrees. It was actually cold in the shade. I hear Sacramento is going to be hot, too. The only thing that sucked about today was getting locked out of the bus for a few hours. It was silly. Me and Jess from the Rock Band crew were trying while waiting for the lock smith and Cash Cash came over to help. It was sweet of them, but it didn't work out. Thanks again guys! We got it worked out and have to use a key for the next few days. No biggie but it made working on these extra projects more difficult. I'll be working non-stop for the next few days to have everything for you guys!

DAY 42- FRESNO

Posted at Aug 20, 2009 1:27 AM by tiffanymink
Fresno. Oh Fresno. We were back on Warped Tour temperature with a high of 103. But still no Phoenix, Texas or Florida! This was one of the smaller shows on the tour- granted everything has seemed small since Detroit and Chicago. I can't believe there are only 4 days left on this tour. Has it seemed like 2 months to anyone else?! Things are down to the wire. No more merch coming in, no more days off- it's the home stretch! I'm glad that we are wrapping up in California. It will be nice to see more of this place before I try to move here!

Monterey Beach Clean Up

Posted at Aug 19, 2009 12:45 PM by tiffanymink
If you haven't noticed through the pit blogs, Warped Tour is very eco-friendly. We are a green tour, we recycle everything from batteries to guitar strings and our plastic wear in catering is even made out of corn starch. Needless to say, we do what we can when it comes to our geographic footprint. This is the 3rd year that Warped has worked with organizations in the Monterey Bay area to organize a clean up. This time, we had a few sites that different teams went to. One was park beautification, one was storm drain cleaning and the one I went to was native planting.

DAY 41- PORTLAND

Posted at Aug 17, 2009 7:05 PM by tiffanymink
I'm a big fan of this venue because it was pretty small. The crowd was awesome, but it's nice when you have things just closer together. Somehow it wasn't really cramped though? No funneling and great weather. I saw some pits at the main stage get really dusty though, especially Bad Religion and 3OH!3. It would have been pretty messy had it rained. Thanks Portland!

DAY 40- THE GORGE

Posted at Aug 16, 2009 1:01 PM by tiffanymink
Holy. Crap. This isn't even a venue. It looks like a national park that we just sort of dropped into the middle of. I haven't seen anything like this before. It's sort of breath taking really- and here we are with some hardcore and pop punk bands playing right in front of it. Oh Warped Tour. Rumor is Sting owns property back there. I was hoping he'd pop out for a bit. Didn't happen unless he's sneakier than I thought- or he actually doesn't own property out here. Regardless, look at this:

DAY 39- VANCOUVER

Posted at Aug 15, 2009 11:58 AM by tiffanymink
I am *in love* with Vancouver. Can I move here? Please? It's the best. This weather felt like fall. Very comfortable in jeans and a 3/4 length shirt. Didn't rain, nice and over cast, blackberries behind the production office- baller. I think this may be my favorite Warped date this summer. You guys are just really, really into shows and these bands. Plus everyone is extremely nice and polite. Not to rag on kids in the states, but Canada can neatly form their own single file line for signings by themselves- and don't cuss out the tents when that line gets cut off. You think simple things like that wouldn't matter that much, but really you have no idea how nice the day goes when people are just well mannered. We only have 6 more shows left- think you guys can keep this up!?

DAY 38- CALGARY

Posted at Aug 13, 2009 10:38 PM by tiffanymink
First time (really) in Canada! The first two stops, Montreal and Toronto, I had the flu and was quarantined to my bus. This time I got to get out, meet people and do some things. Granted, I had a migraine that cut my day short. Something about Canada I think doesn't like me and wants me sick. My camera battery also disappeared on my bus so I didn't get to shoot. I tried borrowing a camera from a friend to use, but by that time the set was half over and I couldn't control it. I know, I suck but hopefully tomorrow in Vancouver I can shoot extra to make up for it. Regardless! Everyone at the show was so, so nice. Canadians are great!

DAY 37- DENVER

Posted at Aug 10, 2009 6:15 PM by tiffanymink
Today was rad. Being in Invesco Field stadium where the Broncos play was pretty cool. Our shower rooms were their locker rooms. The weather was gorgeous all day until about 8:30 when the rain started coming. Of course that's when we have 3OH!3 on stage. Lighting, rain then hail..without warning and when I have all of my photo gear on me. I panicked. Security wouldn't let me back through the backstage area and since I didn't have time to argue with them (and they pushed me out of the way) I ran through a swimming pool to get back to the bus before the hail knocked me out cold. It was a freak storm and passed pretty quickly, but by then everything was already shut down and Warped was over.

DAY 36- SALT LAKE CITY

Posted at Aug 9, 2009 12:59 AM by tiffanymink
Today makes up for all the crappy weather we've had the past 2 weeks. It was comfortable enough to wear a jeans and a tee. You could rock a hoodie for most of the day as well. We had a normal set up, good sized crowd- everyone is happily dry and dancing around. Seems like everyone just had a good night's sleep really. One of those days where everything went smoothly, ya know?

DAY 35- BOISE

Posted at Aug 8, 2009 4:19 PM by tiffanymink
Of course we have a really nice day off and come back to rain. And mud. Then some more rain. And some more mud. Because it was supposed to be so gross outside all day today, we set up the main stage and the Hurley stage beside each other inside the arena. It wasn't a pavilion. It was like an actual arena so it was awkward. They went down to 30 minute sets and alternated between the 2 stages. Basically ran like Warped Tour has before with 2 main stages. It stayed pretty crowded. Security ended up trying to control the traffic flow, but I think it just made it worse. Regardless it was dry inside- just weird seeing the inflatable and skate ramp and our 2 biggest stages inside an arena...

Meet JD and his Endless Bummer Adventures!

Posted at Aug 6, 2009 11:21 AM by tiffanymink
Meet our Warped Tour buddy JD. You know the movie National Lampoon's Endless Bummer that we keep talking about? This guy is basically responsible for it. He's out with us on the road and has his own crazy adventures. He sells the Endless Bummer soundtrack featuring Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, Mark Hoppus & Travis Barker, Katy Perry, Pennywise, Fear, The Dollyrots, The Aggrolites, and more. Plus if you buy the soundtrack at Warped Tour, you get free water the rest of the day!

DAY 34- KANSAS CITY

Posted at Aug 4, 2009 9:27 PM by tiffanymink
I'm pretty sure I was woken up this morning by thunder so needless to say I wasn't excited to roll off my bus. It cleared up quickly to turn into a pretty nice day. Hot, but nice nevertheless. This was a smaller show than we normally see which is both good and bad. Having the room to move around and breathe is nice, but since the crowd is expected to be smaller, sometime the set up makes it more cramped. Booths liked having some down time, but sometimes it seems too slow. My day doesn't really change much either way. I just get to talk about it afterward!

DAY 33- ST. LOUIS

Posted at Aug 4, 2009 12:41 PM by tiffanymink
Started out a little over cast and nice then woah did it get muggy. I was told this is how the midwest is- since I've never been out here, I'm taking their word for it. I just have to step back for a second and say that when I was on day 3 or 4, I thought about how crazy it would be to be reporting on day 27 or 28...and here we are on 33. It's getting bitter sweet. I don't know how I'm going to react on our last day. There are as many downs as there are ups (and that goes for everyone out here), so I'm torn. I gue ss I'll just worry about that when I get there. I'd kill to see my dog though...

DAY 32- MINNEAPOLIS

Posted at Aug 3, 2009 9:32 AM by tiffanymink
What an awesome day- especially considering we are near pretty much nothing out here (or at least it seemed that way). Not sure what our attendance was but I was definitely packed! I love when we are set up with all the stages outside like this, though today's set up was very straight. We could have used the space to spread out more but alas!

DAY 31- CHICAGO

Posted at Aug 2, 2009 11:45 AM by tiffanymink
Woke up to wind and a nice breeze outside, got worked on again by our massage therapist Tess to move my ribs back into place and put on my new Amethyst Jeans so I was planning on a good day. Then there was confusion with the gates. Right as doors opened, we were prepped for rain. Thought we could have held it out, but we failed. At least it was just a drizzle that didn't last too long or destroy too many things. Got a little chilly but I enjoyed seeing all the kids in fresh Warped hoodies.

DAY-30 DETROIT

Posted at Jul 31, 2009 9:12 PM by tiffanymink
WE BROKE THE RAIN STREAK! It was absolutely beautiful today! This venue was great. I had been told over and over that this venue was one of the best on tour and the crowd was awesome. You guys pulled through! It was neat being right in the middle of the city and inside a baseball stadium. Big tigers with baseballs in their mouths-I enjoyed it. I'm a big baseball fan and played for years so it's always nice to be around it again. The only downfall is how spread out everything was today. Eh. Minor set back.

DAY 29- MILWAUKEE

Posted at Jul 31, 2009 9:37 AM by tiffanymink
Officially a week straight of rain. It wasn't too bad, just a cold early shower. We all got over it pretty fast and pulled out our hoodies. I just have to make a note though for people who say we are complaining about the rain. Yes, it is just rain. True story. But think about it. You are out here for 1 day of rain watching your favorite bands, etc, etc. You have a home to go to afterward where you can dry off, put on some clean shoes, shower and tuck away in your bed. The staff out here pulls 12 or 14 hour shifts everyday for 2 months. That's hard enough but when it's raining it does get to you. Think about all the merch that gets destroyed when a booth gets flooded. Or the security guard that has to literally stand in the same spot for 10 hours and just has to be pelted all day. We go back to a cubby instead of a bed. And after a week, the 2 pairs of shoes you could fit in your bag are soaked. All I'm saying is that regardless of the weather, those people are out there for you. Everyday.

DAY 28- CINCINNATI

Posted at Jul 29, 2009 8:46 PM by tiffanymink
Rain. Rain. Rain. This is the 6th day in a row of rain. People are getting grouchy- especially on this 8 day-run-no-day-off deal we are in. Of course we do our best to make sure you guys get out and have a good Warped. At the same time there are people out there pulling 14 hour days and to be rained on the for the duration of your work shift? That puts a damper on things. Like I said before, thank the staffers you see and merch people working on there. There's over 700 people working behind the scenes- and that doesn't even include the venue staffers.

DAY 27- ATLANTA

Posted at Jul 29, 2009 8:20 AM by tiffanymink
Today was so bipolar- no one was prepared for this. This morning was sweat drenching hot. Not sure why it seemed so hot today, but it was killer. Snocones were melting and I felt like my skin was burning off. Then out of nowhere, it looked like a tornado was about to take over. The sky turned black, the wind picked up, Chiodos just ended. I think lots of us thought the world may have been ending. Ominous was the word.

DAY 26- TAMPA/ST. PETE

Posted at Jul 27, 2009 10:10 PM by tiffanymink
Third and final day in Florida. I'm not gonna, we are all pretty relieved to get out of this humidity. However, Florida, we love you and it was absolutely beautiful waking up to the view of the gulf as soon as we stepped off our bus. I haven't been to the beach in a while so it was nice to see water and seagulls. Though the view was nice, the morning was hectic.

FAKE TICKET WARNING

Posted at Jul 27, 2009 6:46 PM by tiffanymink
There were FAKE Tix sold outside the St Pete show. These scumbags were selling very realistic tix and some people lost out in getting in. These tickets will not be honored so don't buy tickets from shady guys in parking lots Only buy tix from the box office. This applies to all shows and if you're worried about not getting tix to the show, get them now. Warped shows can sell out and some have this tour, but we always post up if tix are available at the venue box office which should be the only place to purchase tix on the day of the show.

DAY 25- WEST PALM BEACH

Posted at Jul 25, 2009 7:42 PM by tiffanymink
Started out as another hot, sticky day (as Florida apparently always is in the summer) but we ended up in a mad thunderstorm today. The stages were on a delay at one point due to lightening. Kevin himself was standing on top of a hill somewhere around and reporting on the radio how cool the rain looked in the distance. I'm pretty sure he's crazy. Sorry for the delays, but we have to make sure that everyone is safe at Warped. Imagine all those generators powering all those metal stages. And if you are on the barricade? We put things on hold for everyone's safety. Kudos to everyone to stuck it out and enjoyed the bands playing later on today. They get on edge and worry that no one will see them when the weather does this. They really appreciate it, believe me.

DAY 24- ORLANDO

Posted at Jul 25, 2009 10:14 AM by tiffanymink
Remember when I said we were spoiled with the weather? And that after Texas I wasn't looking forward to Florida? Because there's only bad things to say about the weather? Have you ever seen so many rhetorical questions in a row? SHABLAM Orlando is hot. It's not Phoenix hot- it's an entirely different type of hot. The air is heavy and just sticks to you. Ew! Plus we were set up primarily on grass with a few muddy parts. I haven't been to Florida since I was little, but I do remember the swampy parts. Apparently there are also snakes, fire ants and awesome dragon flies. I didn't get bit by anything today...but there are two more stops in Florida to go...

DAY 23- CHARLOTTE

Posted at Jul 24, 2009 7:55 AM by tiffanymink
Home shoooow! It was great to be back to my old stomping ground. I've been coming to Charlotte every year since 2003. Where you there? What was with this weather?!?!? It started dark and cloudy, trying really hard to rain. Finally it poured for about 15 minutes really hard then out of no where it cleared up and got ridiculously hot. Then it started again. Crazy North Carolina weather. It brings back memories of '05 where it rained like crazy and I watched the steam coming up from the Fall Out Boy pit. All I remember was being soaked to the bone and enjoying every second of it. Today wasn't that wet, but it definitely brought back some of my favorite memories.

DAY 22- VIRGINIA BEACH

Posted at Jul 23, 2009 5:32 PM by tiffanymink
Today was pretty rad for me. Last year, I came to the Virginia Beach show to do press and now I did it on an entirely different level. I remember the venue being pretty crowded but today was jam packed. One tiny little bridge that everyone had to share!? Not good. We were also late with everything today. One of our buses' trailers broke free and tumbled off the interstate creating a hold up for all of the buses behind that one. No one got hurt, but it was the catering bus so got breakfast and lunch pretty late. That's why doors were delayed half an hour and some stages started later than normal. However, in the Warped spirit, we got everything pulled off.

DAY 21- BOSTON

Posted at Jul 21, 2009 8:16 PM by tiffanymink
Raaaaaaain! All day! It was raining at 5:30 when we left the hotel to get to the venue and still hasn't stopped. It may not have rained as hard as in Montreal, but it's been nonstop since setup. From what I hear some merch booths are standing in 5 inches of water. That can't be good for inventory. I'm still stuck on my bus after a full night of coughing and I'm thinking this weather would be the best thing for me. I'm bummed I can't use my new flash and my new lens I found yesterday in Boston but I guess that's just how it goes sometimes

DAY 20- OCEANPORT

Posted at Jul 21, 2009 5:14 PM by tiffanymink
I can gladly say that New Jersey wasn't what I thought it would be. I had a fantastic time today. I love when our venue layouts are in parking lots. Things just seem to go more smoothly and there aren't all the traffic jams. It may be hotter on the concrete, but there's also no dust choking people up. It was also a hometown show for tons of bands to everyone was on it today (aside from a few sound issues I heard from Hurley.com). Conclusion: my comment about not being crazy about Jersey is now null and void. Thanks for re-instilling faith guys!

DAY 19- UNIONDALE

Posted at Jul 19, 2009 12:05 AM by tiffanymink
My apologies for not giving you any warning, but there won't be video for today. We are at another venue that doesn't allow it. Last time I knew beforehand so you had notice- New York please don't hate me! Today, set up wise, was my favorite so far on the tour. The weather was great. I've been told by many crew members who have been doing the tour for years said we've been very, very lucky with the weather this summer. I'm hoping it holds up but now I know I've just jinxed myself and the tour. Way to go, Tiff.

DAY 18- CAMDEN

Posted at Jul 18, 2009 10:52 AM by tiffanymink
Today took a while to get the hang of. This venue is set up so crazy! Usually the amphitheater part is one end of the venue, but Hurley was on one side, the main stage was on the other and there was a train that ran through everything. Then there was this crazy lobby inside the venue? I got lost a few times, but aside from that is was a fun day in New Jersey...but apparently this is also considered a Philly show since we could see it from where we are. As you can tell, today I was confused for the most part.

DAY 17- BUFFALO

Posted at Jul 17, 2009 10:52 AM by tiffanymink
Wow! Best day ever! Roller coasters AND Warped Tour!? It's been a while since I was at an amusement park, so my excitement was pretty high- especially after a few stressful days. We got in for free! Seriously!? The bands have put on me to talk to Kevin to book the next Warped Tour only beside theme parks. I'm not sure why it's my responsibility, but I do know there is a suggestion box going up today. I suppose if we rally we could do something....

DAY 16- SCRANTON

Posted at Jul 16, 2009 10:18 AM by tiffanymink
I thought Columbia was in the woods, but today looked like camp! Evergreens and a creek- a freaking creek!? Scranton, you are an odd venue, but you guys have the brightest and best variety of hair I've ever seen. Seriously. I'm assuming Scranton itself isn't a large town (if I'm wrong, don't judge me) so I can relate to small town kids with crazy hair. I've been one of you since middle school. I wanted to hug everyone.

DAY 15- COLUMBIA

Posted at Jul 15, 2009 1:06 PM by tiffanymink
I'm back! I think for real this time! I was able to be out most of the day. I got pretty tired earlier but I think my adrenaline finally kicked in a little later. The day was nice, we were not on concrete, but we were in the middle of the woods which was odd. Poison ivy anyone? I saw the allergies getting to some of our production staff but we all seemed to pull through it. The show almost sold out, too. Over 15,000 kids running around in the woods and listening to bands. Ah, Warped Tour.

DAY 14- HARTFORD

Posted at Jul 13, 2009 11:02 AM by tiffanymink
Hartford was the first day out for me. I had to take it easy and knew I couldn't cover the entire day, so I did what I could. I'm still not totally back on my feet, but I should be able to have some coverage from here on out. At least it wasn't brutally hot. I lasted a few hours before I had to lay down. Regardless, I'm able to actually do a little bit now!

DAY 13- MONTREAL (brief)

Posted at Jul 12, 2009 11:31 PM by tiffanymink
Day 3 of being bound on the bus. I wasn't too heartbroken due to the obscene amount of rain Montreal got. It was the talk of the town, that's for sure. Many of you ask what happens on tour if it rains. Canada proves the show goes on!

DAY 12- TORONTO (Guest Pit Reporter!)

Posted at Jul 12, 2009 11:22 PM by tiffanymink
My buddy Steve did a great job on our first Canada day since I was still sick. He's giving me run for my money...!

DAY 11- CLEVELAND (special guest)

Posted at Jul 12, 2009 10:00 PM by tiffanymink
Cleveland marked my first doctor visit. I was passed out for most of the day. The only thing I knew that was happening that day was the oh so special guest. I was supposed to be locked up in my bus, but I could not sit in my bunk and miss PARAMORE. You wouldn't believe the amount of text messages I got when they started saying something along the lines "Hey! You're on stage!" Ha ha, guys.

Denny's Allnighter!

Posted at Jul 12, 2009 8:02 PM by tiffanymink
This is the 2nd year that Warped Tour as worked with Denny's to provide Warped fans a special opportunity to hang out with their favorite bands over dinner. We got questions about what this was, how this worked, etc, etc so I went out to our Houston after party to show you what's in store this summer.

DAY 10- PITTSBURGH

Posted at Jul 12, 2009 5:01 PM by tiffanymink
I know, I know guys- it's a little late. I'm sure most of you know but if not, I've been under the weather for the past few days. It started the night of Pittsburgh but now I able to stay awake for more than 3 hours at a time and stand up. I've got a cough left and the day is still pretty draining, but I'm on my way to getting back out there with you guys like normal....starting with catching up the best I can! Keep in mind it's been a while and my head hasn't been crystal clear so bear with me over the next few updates.

DAY 9- INDIANAPOLIS

Posted at Jul 7, 2009 8:57 PM by tiffanymink
I will begin by apologizing for not having a video for today since we couldn't shoot at the venue. We had some things in the works with bands off site, but they fell through. I really, really didn't want to leave you guys out but it's a situation out of my and Warped's hands. On the flip side I did give out 6 shirts today with 2 giveaways and met more of you at this venue than any other one so far! Again, sorry for everything in terms of the video. Indianapolis please still love me!

DAY 8- DALLAS

Posted at Jul 5, 2009 10:29 PM by tiffanymink
Clouds!? A little rain?! This is still Texas?! It's like the tour was so ready to get to Indiana that we brought a nice day down South. Dallas brought tons of energy. The bands were on, the fans were on, the crew was on- I think this was the best show all around yet. Kudos to everyone who came and bonus points for those who could navigate that venue. I admit myself the set up took a little while to figure out. I almost missed my first shoot because of it. However after a bit, I got it sorted out, found the secret places to go to avoid all of the funneling in small places and really enjoyed the day.

WEEK 1 RECAP

Posted at Jul 5, 2009 10:49 AM by tiffanymink
Week one. Some of the crew are thinking "already?!" and some are thinking "we still have 8 more left?!" I'm in between. Don't get me wrong, I'm having a total blast watching my favorite bands, discovering new ones, getting to know these artists on a personal level and meeting all you. The only thing that I'm not looking forward to, as well as most of the staff I've spoken with, is more and more heat. I'm looking at you, Florida! Somehow, I believe by sheer magic, I haven't gotten a sunburn

DAY 7- HOUSTON

Posted at Jul 4, 2009 3:08 PM by tiffanymink
Houston- you take the cake for the hottest on the tour. Bringing the staff down again with your heat. Granted, we do have the Monster Tour Water, but I down a 16oz can of that in 2 minutes flat. Thankfully I have some booths taking care of me. I'm also putting on sunscreen at any given moment. SPF 70 ftw!

DAY 6- SAN ANTONIO

Posted at Jul 2, 2009 10:20 PM by tiffanymink
It may have been over 100 today, but people were into it. You could tell a huge difference between this and good ole' AZ. Yesterday raised everyone's spirits. Another day on asphalt and I was *shocked* by the number of people in pants. And not just jeans, but black jeans. I hope it's' because you are accustomed to the heat, but I was worried about some of you I noticed laying down. Please, please prepare accordingly for Warped. It's a long day and often incredibly hot. It's the one day of the year no one will care how white you legs may be. Trust me. I'm in the same boat.

DAY 5- LAS CRUCES

Posted at Jul 2, 2009 11:27 AM by tiffanymink
After yesterday's heat, we needed a day like today. Nice breeze, good tunes- everyone was in a much better mood. I was worried considering New Mexico is basically a desert, but there was grass! The entire venue was actually green. Very nice change after Phoenix. The water I drank I actually peed! It wasn't completely absorbed by my body like yesterday.

DAY 4- PHOENIX

Posted at Jul 1, 2009 11:57 AM by tiffanymink
Hot hot hot hot hot hot. What an understatement. 110 degree weather? All on asphalt? I know those pits got unbearable, but Phoenix did a good job at keeping it together. There weren't many sunburns either. I could think that maybe it's because you are used to this crazy weather, but I'm going to pretend that my survival guide got through to you.

T. J. Martell Bowling Tournament

Posted at Jul 1, 2009 11:01 AM by tiffanymink
At the Tri-City Bowl outside of Phoenix, Warped Tour teamed up with the T. J. Martell Foundation, a nonprofit organization that raises money towards cancer research, to present a charity bowling event where fans could play with bands.

DAY 3- VENTURA

Posted at Jun 29, 2009 5:24 PM by tiffanymink
Still getting a game plan worked out for the rest of the tour. Today has been going a little smoother. Found out of you go to the Vans tent when doors open, for only $2 you can buy a schedule with the set times, signing times and a map of the venue. They'll hook me up in the morning so I can get a head start on giving you guys the DL on signings.

DAY 2- SAN FRANCISCO

Posted at Jun 28, 2009 10:34 AM by tiffanymink
I survived my first bus ride- after getting way too car sick for my own good. At one point a Sumner, a bus buddy closed my laptop and made me lay down. I'm going to work out a better system to get info to you every night. Though I can't make promises, that's the goal.

DAY 1- POMONA, CA

Posted at Jun 27, 2009 11:18 AM by tiffanymink
Today was my first official day as your pit reporter. I was a little stressed, a little nervous but I made it through. You Pomona kids really let everyone at Warped have really a stellar first day. Feedback from staff, crew and bands have been nothing but positive so everyone is looking forward to what looks like an awesome summer. Way to go for setting that bar high. No pressure for the rest of the cities, right?

Posted at May 7, 2009 9:01 AM by tiffanymink
Donating blood is something I've been asked multiple times about and have seen all over the Warped boards. I decided to talk to Music Saves Lives (MSL) to get the low down and the answers to what you guys seem to be curious about the most. And yes, giving blood gets you a VIP pass this summer!
